Housing Authority of the County of Williamson - Kitchen, Bath & Plumbing Upgrades, Phase 5

Agency: Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

Location: Herrin, IL and Johnston City, IL

BASE BID:

IL-50-6/Herrin - Site 'A' (North 17th Street and Adams Street):

Site improvements include replacing damaged/deteriorated walks and paving, regrading yard areas and placing new concrete to walks and paving, and adding paved areas for additional parking.  Site utilities include replacing site electrical feeders, transformers, etc. with underground primary and secondary service, including meter bases.

Work in dwelling units shall consist of abatement of all floor tile and mastic and all gypsum board wall and ceiling finishes.  New vinyl plank flooring, sheet vinyl flooring, and wood base trim.  Saw-cut, remove, and replace concrete floor slab for replacement of all under slab sanitary waste piping.  Replace interior doors, frames and hardware, replace shelving, replace all light fixtures and wiring devices.  Replace existing electrical load centers and service wires back to meter base.  Rewire units.  Remove existing boilers including fin tube heaters, covers, flues, etc.  Install new electric baseboard heaters throughout.  Remove and replace water heaters.  Remove and replace all domestic water supply, waste, and vent piping.  Insulate exterior walls and attics.  Install new gypsum board on walls and ceilings.  Paint all units.

Bathroom work includes removing and replacing gypsum board wall finishes.  Replace water closets, wood chair rails, toilet accessories, medicine cabinets, light fixtures, exhaust fans, receptacles, and switches.  Replace tubs with showers.  Replace existing lavatories with vanity cabinets and tops.

Kitchen work includes removing and replacing existing appliances, kitchen cabinets, countertops, sinks, range hoods, and grease shields.  Install new HPDL wall finish.

Convert Unit 421 to meet accessibility codes and standards.

IL-50-7/Johnston City - Site 'B' (North 15th Street and Adams Street):

Bath upgrades to include new fixtures, accessories, and finishes.
